I get tired of people who complain that they lost friends in war. Unfortunately, war is a necessary evil whether you like it or not. Your friends knew what they were signing up for. It was not for a signing bonus or a free education. They signed up because they love their country. There are alot of us who have served and have seen things that normal people do not talk about. When I hear someone complain about it, I simply ask them, Have you ever picked up a weapon? If not, shut up and enjoy the freedom you have. It is easy for people to complain about a war when they have never fought in one. Being a veteran, I would just prefer a thank you and not hear you complain at all.
