This is one of my very favorite Everclear songs...makes me a little sad, though, cuz my soon-to-be-ex-husband used to paint the houses in the WEST HILLS in Portland OR until he got mixed up in meth and our lives fell apart. Then I got to know the joys of a welfare Christmas and empty promises and homelessness all too well. I love how this song captures all that emotion. EVERCLEAR is one of the foremost excellent rock bands ever! ROCK ON!
