Lennon wrote this song for Timothy Leary's campaign to stand against Ronald Reagan as governor of California but poor Leary couldn't have the song coz he was sent to prison for weed and his campaign ended later on. so it was a chance for Lennon to put this song on Abbey Road album and changed it the bass line abit but the idea of changing bass come from Paul coz the song sounded like You can't catch be by Chuck Berry
