Beginning as five close friends rehearsing together at New York City’s Music Building in 1998, The Strokes exploded onto the worldwide airwaves shortly thereafter with their debut album, Is This It. The acclaimed album shook up a dormant rock scene as critics hailed them as the most important band of the new millennium.
Hundreds of sold out shows later, The Strokes are ready to wind down and take a break, having recently wrapped touring in support of their third album, First Impressions of Earth.
