Every black church had at least one choir that sang this song...listening to it today- it may not have the thump, the bass & hyped up band music we hear in '08, but God it speaks for so many of us during these times of crisis! It ispeaks to the strength of black folk!

wow i have cried and cried through this song for years and yes god is a great god through all i have been through he still teaches me to still hold on to his hands thank you jesus for all you have done for me and all you have not and all that you may do in my life i praise ya jesus and i thank you greatfully.Amen neva let go of jesus hands and he will never let you go trust him talk to him cause he is worthy to praise
